Asset Based Inventory Tool

When to use: When engaging with youth, use this tool to discuss and begin capturing strengths and assets. This information can then be used to inform the job seeking/job development process.

Discussion Questions

Customized Employment is when a job is created between employee and employer that is personalized in a way that meets the needs of both.

• How can successful models such as Customized Employment be expanded to serve other job seekers with barriers to employment?
• Do the different terms such as employment coaching versus job coaching mean different things to different audiences?
• Who provides customized employment in your state/community?
• What next steps might we pursue, and what else is needed in terms of technical assistance or other support to move forward on these in your states?
