Maryland Youth Leadership Forum
The Maryland Youth Leadership Forum is a week-long leadership program for high school students with disabilities who are in their last two years of school. It’s designed to encourage, empower, and connect you with other young leaders from across the state.
If you’re selected, you’ll spend a week in late spring on a college campus—usually a Maryland state university—building skills, making friends, and planning for your future.
During the Forum, you will:
- Build leadership skills through hands-on activities and workshops.
- Explore your interests and create personal and career plans in small group sessions.
- Learn about resources like assistive technology, community supports, and your civil rights.
- Hear from successful adults with disabilities who share their experiences in advocacy, careers, and using technology.
- Have fun! Enjoy social events, arts, sports, and recreational activities while connecting with new friends.
The Maryland Youth Leadership Forum is your chance to grow as a leader, get inspired, and see what’s possible for your future.
